Tip #1
The video camera used for deposition recording shall have an image resolution minimum of 500 lines of horizontal resolution.
Tip #2
A minimum of four microphones are to be used at all times. Three of these microphones shall be of the lavaliere type and deployed in the following manner.
One microphone each for:
- a. the deponent
- b. the first direct examiner
- c. the first cross examiner
Tip #3
The videographer shall inform all participants about the sensitivity of the microphones.
Tip #4
Depositions shall be recorded at the standard play speed unless otherwise specified by rule, order, or notice.
Tip #5
Witness should not be positioned infront of a window or bright light.
Tip #6
Witness should avoid wearing clothes of striped or checkered patterns. Solid colors are best but avoid solid white.
Tip #7
Blackberrys and Iphones need to be turned off during the deposition.
Tip #8
The videographer needs to monitor the audio continuously throughout the deposition via headphones.

The videographer should use a neutral background behind the witness, gray or blue/gray is best.
